Quebec police armed with search warrants raided five Gatineau houses yesterday in what the report is an "operation to destabilize organized crime", including outlaw bikers such as the Hells Angels.
Nearly 50 police along with heavily armed tactical officers stormed four of the five homes for no other reason than to "check out information".
Nothing illegal was found, no arrests were made, no charges were filed in the operation with the exception of on minor possesion of marijuana charge police found one man carring.
According to police, the goal of the raids was to steal sensitive documents and other evidence required for investigations that are currently under way in Quebec and Ontario.
The raid appears to be a typical fishing expedition police conduct in the hope of finding something to charge members with.
