Member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club charged
Wednesday, 09/29/04

A member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club was charged with beating a Norton man with a pipe because his friend is a member of a rival club.

Joseph Noe, 30, of 85 Fremont St., was arraigned in Taunton District Court on charges of kidnapping and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (pipe).

Judge Kevan J. Cunningham released Noe on $100 cash bail and continued his case to Nov. 5.

According to police, Noe, his wife Colleen, and several other club members invited the alleged victim, Patrick Rooslet, 20, to the Outlaws clubhouse at 218 School St. after a night of drinking at T.J. Gupeez on West Britannia Street.

Once inside, Noe began verbally accosting Rooslet because a friend he was drinking with at T.J. Gupeez the week before had a tattoo on his neck indicating he is a member of a the Disciples Motorcycle Club in Quincy.

One of the club members allegedly placed a bar across the door so Rooslet couldn’t leave then Noe allegedly struck Rooslet in the face with a 12-inch pipe, and other members allegedly struck and kicked Rooslet several times as he lay on the ground, police said.

The club members allegedly held Rooslet in the house against his will until he promised not to tell police about the beating they had just inflicted on him. He was also told never to go back to T.J. Gupeez.Rooslet drove back home, where his father saw his condition and took him to Morton Hospital and Medical Center around 4 a.m.,police said. Rooslet was later taken to New England Medical Center in Boston, where he was treated for a laceration under his left eye. At the hospital Rooslet identified Noe as his assailant from photos provided by police.

Taunton and Raynham police officers raided the Outlaws clubhouse and arrested Noe.

Charges of being an accessory after the fact have also been filed against Noe’s 29-year-old wife, Colleen. Criminal charges may be pending against other members of the club, police said.
